Biography

I am a non-binary (they/them) maker and creative hailing from Appleton, WI. I am currently located in Chicago after completing my BFA in Theatre Arts with minors in Music and Psychology at DePaul University.

The concentration of my studies at DePaul was props. I was a student worker for three years as a props artisan and assistant in the prop shop. After developing my skills there and graduating, I worked at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago as a props artisan for a year and a half ending in October of 2023. Since then, I have been freelancing in theatre around Chicago.

I've found that my favorite area of props and theatre is the inevitable daily problem-solving and collaboration needed to succeed. I have become an attentive team member who will finish their work effectively but will ask for help when needed. I am a quick learner and I use my previous knowledge to help me succeed in any position.

While theatre is my main area of creation, I have been experimenting in the world of immersive experiences. My largest project so far is the escape room Escape TTS: Newsbreak. I was the organizer and prop/game manager for this experience. Click the button below for more information!

Props

After spending three years growing my skills working in the prop shop at The Theatre School, I have been freelancing and working at Steppenwolf Theatre Company as a props artisan. My favorite area in props is the overarching problem solving that is inevitable every day. I also have a love for upholstery, restoration, and repair.

The Arts

Since a young age, I have assisted my mom in planning volunteer events. This created a personal drive for organization and execution. As I moved on to undergrad, I used this passion to investigate large projects both in and out of the classroom.
